Exploring Automotive Careers at the Frederick County Public Schools Senior Expo 2026

Frederick County Public Schools Senior Expo 2026

September 17th, 2026 | Winchester, Virginia: What does a career at a car dealership look like? That was one of the questions explored during the Frederick County Public Schools Senior Expo 2026. For many students, the first jobs that come to mind are selling cars or working as an automotive technician. But today’s dealerships offer career opportunities in many different areas. Marlow Auto Group shared that message during the Frederick County Public Schools Senior Expo 2026. Held on September 17, the event connected students with potential paths after graduation.

Students met with local businesses, colleges, and military representatives during the Senior Expo. Designed to help soon-to-be graduates explore what comes next, the event introduced students to several paths available after high school. Representing Marlow Auto Group were Ed Sullivan, Fixed Operations Director; Deidre Williams, HR Director; Greg Strosnider, Used Car Director; and Brian Nieves, Marketing Director. Together, they gave students a look at just how many different careers can be found inside a dealership.

More Than Sales and Service

Throughout the Frederick County Public Schools Senior Expo 2026, students stopped by the Marlow Auto Group table ready to talk about their futures. Many came with specific questions about dealership careers, training, and how they could get started in the automotive industry. Their conversations covered much more than selling and servicing vehicles. Modern dealerships need people working in parts, finance, accounting, human resources, marketing, management, customer service, and other areas. Each department offers different opportunities to learn new skills and build a career.

Several students were especially interested in becoming automotive technicians. They asked specific questions about how to get started, what kind of training is involved, and how someone can advance within a dealership. Those conversations gave the Marlow team an opportunity to explain entry-level positions and how employees can grow as they gain experience and develop their skills. Interested students also received an invitation to visit a Marlow Auto Group dealership for a personal tour. During the tour, students can see different departments firsthand and learn more about dealership careers.

“A lot of students think about sales or working on cars when they think about a dealership. But there are so many different career paths. Events like this give us a chance to talk with students about what interests them, where they could get started, and how they can grow from there.”— Deidre Williams, HR Director, Marlow Auto Group

About The Marlow Auto Group

Marlow Auto Group has proudly served the Northern Shenandoah Valley for more than 75 years. Our story began in 1947 with a decision that set us apart. After World War II, cars were scarce, and buyers often waited months for delivery. Our founder, Guy Marlow, chose a different path. Instead of waiting, he opened a dealership to secure a car for his family and help others. That bold, people-first mindset remains at the heart of everything we do.

Over the decades, that decision grew into a regional family of dealerships. Today, Marlow Auto Group includes three dealerships serving communities throughout the Northern Shenandoah Valley. They are Marlow Motor Company in Front Royal, Tri-State Nissan in Winchester, and Marlow Ford in Luray.

As a locally owned and woman-operated business, we continue to stay true to our five core values. Those values are Innovation, Integrity, Community, Relationships, and Exceeding Expectations. You’ll see those values in our customer service and our partnerships with local schools, nonprofits, and community organizations. Marlow Auto Group believes dealerships should do more than sell and service vehicles. They should solve problems, support their communities, and build relationships that last. At Marlow, doing things differently isn’t just how we started. It’s how we lead.
