December 2024 | Winchester, Virginia: At Tri-State Nissan, giving back to our community and honoring those who serve is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why, for the second year in a row, we proudly partnered with the Winchester Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, to support Wreaths Across America—a national nonprofit organization committed to remembering.
What Is Wreaths Across America?
Wreaths Across America (WAA) is a nonprofit organization that coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies each December at thousands of veterans’ cemeteries across the United States. Their mission is clear and powerful:
• Remember the fallen
• Honor those who serve
• Teach the next generation the value of freedom
Every wreath placed is a symbol of respect and remembrance for the sacrifices made by members of our armed forces and their families. The sight of rows upon rows of green wreaths adorned with red bows at Winchester National Cemetery is a powerful reminder of the price of freedom.
Tri-State Nissan’s Wreaths Across America Commitment
To support this mission, Tri-State Nissan pledged to donate one wreath for every new or pre-owned vehicle sold in November. Thanks to the support of our customers and community, we were proud to donate 87 wreaths to Winchester National Cemetery this year.
While every sale helped make this possible, the focus remained on those we were honoring. Watching volunteers from the Civil Air Patrol lay wreaths on the headstones of veterans—many of whom are local heroes—was a humbling experience. Some of our team members attended the ceremony and expressed how deeply moved they were by the atmosphere of quiet gratitude and reflection.
This marks the second year Tri-State Nissan has partnered with the Winchester Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, to support Wreaths Across America. Our team is continually inspired by the dedication and professionalism of these young cadets and their leaders. They are honoring veterans and learning to carry the legacy of service forward. We are proud to stand beside them in this mission and look forward to supporting this cause again in 2025.
