May 2018 | Luray, Virginia: In May 2018, Marlow Ford proudly hosted the Ford Drive 4 UR Community Event 2018, bringing together local organizations, community members, and partners for a meaningful day of giving back. This unique event combined community engagement with fundraising, creating an opportunity for participants to support local nonprofits simply by getting behind the wheel. Through Ford’s Drive 4 UR Community program, a donation of $20 was made for every new vehicle test drive, turning each participant into a contributor to a greater cause. The result was a simple yet impactful way for the community to come together and make a difference.

Supporting Local Nonprofits Through the Ford Drive 4 UR Community Event 2018

The Ford Drive 4 UR Community Event 2019 focused on supporting organizations that serve the Shenandoah Valley. That year, Marlow Ford selected Anicira, a nonprofit dedicated to providing adoption services and affordable veterinary care to the Harrisonburg, Virginia area. In addition, Page One of Page County participated in the event by offering food and refreshments for purchase. The proceeds from those sales were also directed toward supporting both nonprofits, further increasing the event’s impact. Together, these partnerships created a well-rounded community effort that addressed both animal welfare and local family support, demonstrating the power of collaboration.

Building Relationships Through the Ford Drive 4 UR Community Event 2018

Events like the Ford Drive 4 UR Community Event 2018 highlight the importance of strong community relationships. By working alongside organizations like Anicira and Page One, Marlow Ford continues to build partnerships that go beyond business and focus on meaningful impact. Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with these organizations while also contributing through their test drives. This created a unique experience where community members could learn, participate, and give back all at once. By combining Ford’s national program with local partnerships, the dealership helped amplify the reach and effectiveness of the initiative. A Simple Drive That Made a Difference

As the Ford Drive 4 UR Community Event 2018 came to a close, it was clear that even small actions can create meaningful results. Each test drive, each purchase, and each contribution played a role in supporting organizations that continue to make a difference every day. Marlow Ford extends its appreciation to everyone who participated, including community members, nonprofit partners, and team members who helped make the event a success.

About The Marlow Auto Group

Marlow Auto Group team demonstrating automotive technology during Worlds of Work 2025 at Shenandoah University

Marlow Auto Group has proudly served the Northern Shenandoah Valley for over 75 years—but our story begins in 1947 with a decision that set us apart from the start. In the post-World War II era, when cars were scarce and buyers waited months for delivery, our founder, Guy Marlow, chose a different path. Rather than wait in line, he opened a dealership—not just to secure a car for his family, but to help others in the community do the same. That bold, people-first mindset remains at the heart of everything we do.

Over the decades, that one decision grew into a regional family of dealerships: Marlow Motor Company in Front Royal, Tri-State Nissan in Winchester, and Marlow Ford in Luray. As a locally owned and woman-operated business, we continue to grow by staying true to our five core values: Innovation, Integrity, Community, Relationships, and Exceeding Expectations. You’ll find those values in everything we do—from extended service hours that reduce downtime for local businesses to long-standing partnerships with local schools and nonprofits. Marlow Auto Group believes dealerships should do more than sell and service vehicles. They should solve problems, support their communities, and build trust that lasts. Because at Marlow, doing things differently isn’t just how we started. It’s how we lead.
