Marlow Auto Group at Worlds of Work 2025
October 2025 | Winchester, Virginia: Each fall, Worlds of Work 2025 brings together educators, community leaders, and businesses from across the Northern Shenandoah Valley to inspire the region’s next generation of professionals. This year, Marlow Auto Group proudly joined the event at the James R. Wilkins Jr. Athletics & Events Center at Shenandoah University, connecting with students eager to explore career paths in automotive technology.
More than 3,000 eighth-grade students attended Worlds of Work 2025, representing schools from Winchester, Clarke, Frederick, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren counties. The large-scale event offered an opportunity for middle schoolers to step beyond the classroom and experience real-world careers up close. From construction equipment and healthcare simulations to hands-on automotive demonstrations, the day was filled with energy, curiosity, and discovery.
A Hands-On Introduction to Automotive Technology
Inside the Transportation and Logistics sector, Marlow Auto Group hosted an engaging booth featuring a 2025 Nissan Frontier. Students gathered around to explore the truck, learn about basic vehicle maintenance, and talk with team members about what it’s like to work in the automotive industry. For many students, it was their first time getting a close look under the hood of a vehicle.
Team members demonstrated simple maintenance checks, including how to inspect tire tread, check fluid levels, and understand dashboard indicators. Each activity gave students a sense of accomplishment and a clearer idea of the everyday skills technicians use to keep vehicles running safely.
Events like Worlds of Work 2025 are more than introductions to careers; they are moments of empowerment. When students can see and touch real equipment, it helps them imagine future possibilities and connect classroom learning to practical applications.
Worlds of Work 2025: Inspiring the Future Workforce
For Marlow Auto Group, participation in the event was about more than showcasing vehicles. It was about building relationships and investing in the community’s future. The company’s presence reflected its dedication to Exceeding Expectations, going beyond standard involvement to inspire confidence and curiosity among local students.
“Events like Worlds of Work 2025 remind us how important it is to give students a glimpse into their potential,” said Brian Nieves, Marketing Director for Marlow Auto Group. “When young people see how their interests can translate into meaningful careers, it opens doors they may not have considered before.”
The excitement was visible throughout the day as students explored the exhibit floor. Many took notes, asked questions, and shared what they learned with their classmates. Teachers and organizers noted how these experiences often spark conversations that continue long after the event ends.
Collaboration That Builds Community
The success of Worlds of Work 2025 lies in collaboration. The event was made possible through partnerships between local businesses, school divisions, and economic development organizations. More than 70 employers from ten industry sectors participated, each contributing unique, hands-on learning opportunities.
Marlow Auto Group was proud to stand alongside industries representing agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, communications, and more. Each business helped demonstrate that the Shenandoah Valley is full of diverse career opportunities—many of which can be pursued locally.
By participating, Marlow Auto Group also reinforced the importance of supporting programs that bridge education and employment. Students gained valuable insight into what it takes to work in skilled trades, professional services, and technology fields—knowledge that will guide them as they prepare for high school and beyond.
Worlds Of Works 2025: A Day of Discovery at Shenandoah University
The James R. Wilkins Jr. Athletics & Events Center at Shenandoah University provided an ideal setting for Worlds of Work 2025. The spacious venue allowed businesses and educators to create interactive displays that encouraged hands-on exploration. The partnership between education and business created a setting where curiosity could thrive.
Throughout the day, students rotated through ten “work worlds,” from agriculture to public service. Within each world, they met industry professionals eager to answer questions and share their passion for their work. In the automotive technology area, the Marlow team made learning approachable and fun—showing that success in the automotive field combines both technical expertise and a dedication to helping others.
A Shared Vision for the Future
Worlds of Work 2025 isn’t just a one-day event. It’s part of a growing effort to strengthen the local workforce pipeline and encourage students to explore the wide range of opportunities available close to home.
By participating in this annual initiative, Marlow Auto Group continues to build meaningful connections with educators, students, and regional partners. These relationships are the foundation of thriving communities and reflect the company’s belief that exceeding expectations means investing in people as much as in products. “Seeing the enthusiasm of these students reinforces why community engagement matters,” said Nieves. “We’re not just showcasing a career; we’re helping them imagine a future filled with possibilities.”
Looking Ahead
As the event concluded, organizers, teachers, and volunteers reflected on the impact Worlds of Work 2025 had on students from across the Valley. For many attendees, the experience sparked new interests—from mechanical systems to medical imaging, public service, and beyond.
