Tri-State Nissan Donates Vehicle to Valley Health Rehabilitation Center

December 11th 2025 | Winchester, Virginia: Tri-State Nissan, part of Marlow Auto Group, demonstrated its commitment to community partnership and patient care with the donation of a 2017 Nissan Maxima to the Valley Health Foundation for use at the new Valley Health Rehabilitation Center in Winchester. This initiative represents more than a vehicle donation—it reflects the spirit of collaboration that strengthens the region’s connection between business and healthcare. The Nissan Maxima will be incorporated into rehabilitation programs designed to help patients regain mobility and confidence after injury or illness.
Supporting Patient Recovery Through Real-World Practice
The donated vehicle will be placed in the facility’s rehabilitation area, allowing patients to practice real-world mobility tasks such as entering, exiting, and maneuvering around a car safely as part of their recovery. By incorporating familiar, practical movements into therapy, the center helps patients rebuild strength and independence in a way that directly connects to everyday life. While vehicle donations are not uncommon, this one stood apart—literally. The Maxima was lifted by crane onto the second floor of the construction site, where it will remain a central component of the therapy environment. The sight of the car rising above the structure was both symbolic and inspiring, representing how community partnerships can elevate care to new heights.
The Valley Health Rehabilitation Center Donation
The Valley Health Rehabilitation Center, currently under construction on Linden Drive adjacent to the Winchester Medical Center campus, represents a $75 million investment in local healthcare. When completed, the state-of-the-art facility will provide advanced inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as orthotics, prosthetics, and bionics. Developed in partnership with the nationally recognized Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation organization, the new center will expand access to cutting-edge recovery services for patients throughout the Northern Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas. The facility is expected to open in late 2026 and will serve as a vital resource for those seeking world-class care close to home.
