John Marlow Plaza: Honoring a Legacy That Shaped Front Royal

A new dedicatory sign is set to be installed at the heart of downtown Front Royal, marking an important tribute to a man whose vision helped shape the community—Mr. John Marlow.

As the former Mayor of Front Royal and founder of Marlow Auto Group, Mr. Marlow played a pivotal role in revitalizing the downtown area during the 1980s. Most notably, he championed the restoration of the town’s iconic gazebo, transforming the space into a vibrant gathering point for families, festivals, and community traditions.

Now officially named John Marlow Plaza, this beloved downtown area stands as a permanent reminder of his impact, leadership, and deep love for the town he helped flourish. The new sign will share that story with generations to come.
